Top 5 of My Favorite Classic Rock Songs
67Bob Seger "Still The Same"
5 of My Favorite Classic Rock Songs
Ok ok. I told you I could not just have 10 favorite classic rock songs so I am adding these 5 to the collection. I have 10 favorites at 10 of My Favorite Classic Rock Songs.
I have always really liked Bob Segar's music and so he has to be represented. I could actually make 6 or 7 of his hits my five favorites! I have been a Moody Blues fan since 1968 before anyone even knew who they were. They started out as an English blues band and changed into one of the most innovative bands of their time. Their songs are brilliant classics.
Before he was famous, Jim Morrison almost stepped on me while jumping over a sombrero at UCSB. I thought he was a very unusual guy. Turned out it is possible to be a musical genius and unusual at the same time. Perhaps they go hand in hand. I don't know. But Light My Fire was one of the greatest of all classic rock songs. I like the recorded long version the best.

Love Tom Petty and Free Bird!
Those are great ones but how about;
Bob Seiger - Against the Wind
Tom Petty - Refugee (don't have to live like a refugee)
I hear you!!
I have an obession with those cd's (the classic 60's, the classic 70's)you know the ones, so I love all these songs. I'm a pretty big Queen and Journey fan too. The Zombie's "Time of the Season" is one of my all time favs.
Great music, and I especially enjoyed the original Moody Blues singing "Go Now". Thanks.

WHAT ARE THE 5 BEST CLASSIC SONGS OF ALL TIME.
Good choices bgamall. Not crazy about Seger but Light My Fire has to be in the running for the all time greatest. Know Lynryd Skynrd's bass player Robert Kearns socially- a very nice fellow, and he told me he has to kick to the side all the keys the ladies toss up on stage at him; we could only be so lucky eh.
A lot of rock n rollers admit thats a reason, true. Some are in it for different reasons though. On why Roberts still single at his age, he told his mom that no wife would put up with him being on the road most of the time but as long as he had his music everything was alright.
Music is in the ears of the beholder, and, likely the mood of the day. I would have a different five than you, and a different five than my own on any given day. Thanks for sharing.
